Our dairy farm is located in the Alberni Valley on Vancouver Island - our milk used to go to Courtenay to be processed in the Dairyland facility, but since it shut down in 2019, our milk goes to the Island Farms processing plant in Victoria.
We sit on about 900 acres, which allows us to practice rotational grazing, and pasture-feed our herd from April - October each year. We are also able to produce our own silage and hay for winter feed.
On a smaller scale, we produce Bigleaf Maple Syrup. During the winter months, we tap a portion of BIgleaf Maple trees on the farm, and process the sap into maple syrup.
In 2022, we ventured into agri-tourism, utilizing The Cabin as a space for markets, workshops, and short term accommodation.
